Fast, isolated Postgres database branches for safe coding-agent testing Ardent is a database branching platform for coding agents and development teams. It creates isolated, copy-on-write branches of Postgres databases in under six seconds, allowing agents and developers to test database code, migrations, data cleaning, backfills, and other changes against production-like data without risking the production database. Ardent separates clones at the compute and storage levels, supports autoscaling to zero, avoids duplicating unchanged storage, and integrates with providers such as Supabase, AWS RDS, and PlanetScale.
