It serves as a living 'context brain' that holds a team's critical know-how, research, decisions, and data. Unlike traditional storage or isolated AI chats, Kanwas provides a spatial environment (canvas) where humans and AI agents collaborate. It integrates strategy docs, market signals, and agent workflows, allowing AI to execute tasks using real, specific company context rather than generic training data. The system is built on a Git-backed filesystem using plain .md files to ensure transparency and prevent vendor lock-in.
