Petty Images is a service designed to help artists reclaim the rights to their own art by confusing data collection algorithms used by major corporations like OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google. It achieves this by converting the titles of uploaded images to resemble Getty Images filenames, such as "gettyimages-156387912394.png". This is intended to deter these corporations from wrongfully training their AI models on the user's images.
