About This Site
Local-first, open-source Mac meeting recorder and dictation app. Daisy is a local-first, open-source (Apache 2.0) meeting recorder and dictation tool built specifically for Apple Silicon Macs. It captures both your microphone and system audio natively without requiring a bot to join your calls. Transcriptions are performed entirely on-device utilizing WhisperKit on the Mac's Neural Engine, paired with offline diarization for speaker labeling. Transcripts are saved directly as plain Markdown files in a user-chosen local folder, such as an Obsidian vault. Daisy also features a local Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that exposes your meetings as a queryable data source for AI clients like Claude Desktop and Cursor, as well as customizable modes for voice notes and push-to-talk dictation in any application.
